As much as I think our tax base has gotten completely out of control, I would suggest that our elected officials misuse and/or abuse the tax's they are currently responsible for! By example: LA Board of Sup. Mark Ridley Thomas wanting to use $707,000 of tax money to remodel his offices, etc. What if we could find just one elected official that didn't abuse tax revenues and throw our support towards such a official?? By our support, I'm suggesting positive media attention, good PR on our part etc. On the other hand I would also suggest that when we discover someone like Thomas who has misused funds we "HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE" figuratively speaking.
